| OMA Receives Three Design Awards |
We are very honored that three of our projects received design awards at the AIAGE 2009 Design Awards Banquet, hosted by Mr. Jim Scott of KCET 17, held at the Marriott Hotel Convention Center in Bakersfield on January 7, 2010. Ordiz-Melby Architects, Inc., along with partners Kern Community College District and JMPE Electrical Engineering, received an Honorable Mention award for "Lighting Design and Retrofit" for the gym lighting project at Bakersfield College. Building Information Modeling, or BIM, is the most comprehensive change in project design, documentation, and delivery that our industry has seen since the introduction of 2D CAD.
