Two 2011 Beautiful Bakersfield Awards Received
The Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce held its annual Beautiful Bakersfield award program, and OMA received awards for two of our projects.

OMA Receives Three Design Awards
We are very honored that three of our projects received design awards at the AIAGE 2009 Design Awards Banquet, hosted by Mr. Jim Scott of KCET 17, held at the Marriott Hotel Convention Center in Bakersfield on January 7, 2010. OMA Receives Award at Sustainability Conference
Ordiz-Melby Architects, Inc., along with partners Kern Community College District and JMPE Electrical Engineering, received an Honorable Mention award for "Lighting Design and Retrofit" for the gym lighting project at Bakersfield College. The award was presented at the UC-CSU-CCC 2009 Sustainability Conference held at UC Santa Barbara.

Introduction to ArchiCAD

Building Information Modeling, or BIM, is the most comprehensive change in project design, documentation, and delivery that our industry has seen since the introduction of 2D CAD.

Where 2D CAD software allows the user to input lines and elements that represent building components – walls, doors, windows, etc. – ArchiCAD allows you to “virtually” build the building.
